Uzbekistan is actively engaged in the activities of UNESCO and was twice elected to the Executive Board of the Organization. Today the collaboration is governed by the Country Programme Action Plan for 2018-2021 which was signed during the historic visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UNESCO Headquarters in October 2018.
