At the end of the summit talks, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held.
Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev signed the Treaty on the Establishment of the Supreme Interstate Council between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In addition, 15 documents were adopted during the visit at the level of states, governments and agencies of the two countries.
The documents include the “Road Map” on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership for 2023-2024, agreements on further deepening of cooperation in the field of energy, on cooperation in the sphere of youth policy and sports, and the “Road Map” on developing cooperation in the sphere of media.
In addition, additions and amendments were made to the Agreement on Visa-Free Travel for Citizens, and agreements were reached on cooperation in the implementation of an information system for the electronic exchange of permit forms “E-permit”, in the fields of culture, family and child protection, food safety, as well as memoranda on cooperation between the Secretariats of the Security Council, on cyber security and other areas.
These documents will contribute to deepening practical cooperation in a number of promising areas of interaction between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
