On September 18, as a part of a working visit to the United States, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President and the Chief Executive Officer of GE HealthCare in Europe, the Middle East and Africa Rob Walton.
The sides discussed the corporation plans on the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan.
The global industrial giant General Electric plans to expand investment and technological cooperation with Uzbek enterprises, including the supply and localization projects of modern high-tech equipment within the strategic partnership.
President of GE HealthCare Rob Walton noted that the healthcare industry will launch the production of cardiographs, screening programs and a cardiac information system. In addition, the investor intends to participate in the creation of the National Medical Data Archive in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the adoption of a “road map” for the implementation of joint projects.
GE HealthCare, founded in 1994 as part of General Electric, is an American multinational healthcare technology company headquartered in Chicago. The corporation’s assets are nearly $28 billion.
