As a part of the visit program of the Republic of Tatarstan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve “Kazan Kremlin”.
The Head of our state was accompanied by the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
Kazan Kremlin is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is the ancient part of Kazan, a complex of architectural, historical and archaeological monuments, revealing the centuries-long history of the city.
Here, the President of Uzbekistan visited The Kul Sharif Mosque. The Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin told the distinguished guest about the history of the construction in detail. The dua was recited.
The Mosque was constructed in 1996-2005 in memory of the ancient cathedral mosque which existed in the territory of the Kazan Khanate until the second half of the 16th century and was named in honor of Imam Kul Sharif.
The Head of our state also toured The Annunciation Cathedral accompanied by Metropolitan Kirill of Kazan and Tatarstan. This is the oldest building in the territory of Kazan Kremlin built in the 16th century. It is a striking example of Pskov architecture.
