The Head of State was introduced to the project to build an overpass at the junction of New Uzbekistan Street and the 4R12 motorway in Tashkent.

Traffic on these two roads has increased in recent years. The number of cars travelling to Bostanlyk and Parkent districts has also increased several times compared to previous years and will continue to grow. In addition, this intersection will become a major junction on the way to New Tashkent City in the future.

In this context, it is planned to build a traffic junction here. According to the project, 1 flyover, 3 tunnels, 4 roundabouts and additional roads will be built. As a result, it will be possible to pass through the junction without stopping. Travel time for drivers and passengers will be reduced by 20-30 minutes and road safety will be improved.

The President also visited the commercial and service facilities being built under the Dustlik-Kuilyuk elevated metro line. As part of the project, 36 commercial and service outlets, sports and children’s playgrounds and car parks will be built.

Officials have been instructed to ensure the safety of the new facilities and to develop the service sector in Tashkent city.
