«New Uzbekistan» Massif Constructed Near Industry Zone

31 May 2024

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the «New Uzbekistan» Massif in the Karakul district.

The area had never been so heavily built before. After the free economic zone “Karakul” was created by the decree of the Head of State on August 13, 2021, the industry began to develop rapidly. Thousands of people, including specialists from other regions of the country, will be employed at the local plants in the future. New housing units are being built near the economic zone for their convenience and decent living conditions.

The project consists of two phases and includes the construction of 71 multi-storey houses with 1380 apartments, educational and medical institutions, a makhalla center and service facilities.

At present, in the first stage, 12 multi-storey houses, a school, a kindergarten and a polyclinic have been put into operation.

The Head of State spoke with representatives of the makhalla.

– In the makhalla, where the “seven” think and act as a team, there will be neither unemployment nor crime. For this, it has enough authority. It is necessary to involve responsible organizations and help people earn. It is important to be aware of the quality of education in schools and to orient graduates towards higher education and acquisition of a demanded profession, – said the President.

Instructions were given regarding the improvement of the territory and roadside areas. In the future, parks and swimming pools will be organized in the territory of the massif. The vacant lots will be planted with trees and turned into alleys.
