President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited “Yangikhayot” industrial technopark in Tashkent city.
More than 184 thousand people live in Yangikhayot district. In recent years, many new residential buildings have been built here, where families have moved. Active measures are taken to provide the residents of the new neighborhoods with jobs.
One of such measures is the technopark “Yangikhayot”, established on the basis of the decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated February 4, 2021. In 2022, Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the construction site and planned projects. 110 hectares of land have been allocated for the technopark. At present, 8 enterprises with a total investment of $101 million have been put into operation, 520 jobs have been created.
The President inspected the work of some of the enterprises.
For example, “Almerro Group” Ltd. produces confectionery products under the brand “Krember”. Three hectares of land have been allocated for this purpose, and $22 million was invested in the project. Modern equipment from Italy, Spain and Turkey has been installed. The enterprise plans to annually produce 80 kinds of confectionery products worth 320 billion soums, of which 15-20 percent will be exported to China and CIS countries.
“Vera Modern Electrical” company, implementing a project worth $21 million, produces 600 types of cable and wire products. The company has an export potential of $4 million. In addition, 35-40 percent of products are aimed at the domestic market, and the level of localization reaches 70 percent.
The President got acquainted with the products of the enterprises and noted:
– The conditions created for entrepreneurs in recent years are yielding results. Our businessmen produce diverse and high-quality products. We will expand these opportunities every year. After all, an entrepreneur is the basis of the economy, the support of the state, – emphasized Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Head of State also viewed a project for the construction of prefabricated buildings for production needs. The Mimar Group company has built a two-story complex in the technopark, which is sold to small businesses and craftsmen on installment terms. Each building is equipped with separate production and exhibition areas.
To date, 4 enterprises with a total investment of $3 million have already started working in such buildings. They are engaged in the production of doors and windows, textile products, construction profiles and solar panels.
The President was presented with plans for further development of the Technopark. In particular, it is planned to implement 46 projects worth $386 million in such areas as production of construction materials, electrical engineering, logistics and services, textile and food industries. To train personnel, dual training will be introduced.
By 2025, 37 projects worth $235 million are planned to be launched in the technopark, and by 2026 – 1 project worth $50 million. As a result, 10 thousand jobs will be created and export potential worth $35 million will be ensured.
Over the last ten months, more than 3 thousand people were employed in Yangikhayot district, and 6 thousand citizens were registered as self-employed.
