
Following the first meeting of the Uzbek–Tajik Supreme Interstate Council, a ceremony for the signing and exchange of bilateral documents was held.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed a Joint Statement on deepening strategic partnership and allied relations.
In addition, a package of documents aimed at further expanding multifaceted cooperation was signed at the level of governments, ministries, and agencies. These include:
– Program on increasing trade turnover;
–Program on industrial cooperation;
– Agreement on the mutual application of electronic systems for the certification of origin of goods;
–Agreement on cooperation in the field of healthcare;
– Agreement on the coordination of radio frequency assignments in border areas;
– Protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental Agreement on the establishment of the “Uzbek-Tajik Investment Company”;
– Agreement on cooperation in the use of the “E-Permit” information system;
–Agreement on scientific cooperation between the academies of sciences;
– Plan for the implementation of activities in the field of industry and innovation for 2026–2028;
– Plan for the implementation of activities in the field of the mining industry and new technologies for 2026–2028;
– Action Plan for cooperation in the field of culture for 2026–2027;
– Roadmap for the development of cooperation in the sphere of tourism for 2026-2028;
– Roadmap for the further development of cooperation in the field of the agro-industrial complex for 2026–2028;
– memorandums of cooperation in the spheres of innovation, public service, finance, education, and the compulsory enforcement of judicial acts.
