An official welcome ceremony took place at the Kuksaroy residence for the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.
An honor guard was lined up on the square in front of the residence. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and invited him to the podium.
The national anthems of Uzbekistan and Germany were played. The heads of state inspected the honor guard and introduced members of their official delegations.
Following the ceremony and a joint photo session, high-level talks began.
