At the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, accompanied by his wife, will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on June 17-18.
In accordance with the visit program, the leaders will hold talks in narrow and expanded formats. Issues related to the further deepening of multifaceted Uzbek-German relations will be considered.
The parties will pay particular attention to expanding practical cooperation in trade, industrial cooperation, energy and green technologies, transport and logistics, pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry, and agriculture, as well as to intensifying educational and humanitarian exchanges.
The leaders will also exchange views on current regional and international issues.
As part of the talks, a number of new joint projects and programs are expected to be launched, along with the adoption of a package of documents aimed at giving additional impetus to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany.
