A formal welcoming ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence for the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed the distinguished guest and invited him to the podium.
The state flags of both countries were raised, and a guard of honor was lined up. A military orchestra performed the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The leaders inspected the guard of honor and greeted members of the official delegations.
Following a joint photo session, talks between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan began.
