On December 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin met on the sidelines of the informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg.
Particular emphasis was placed on the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the Summit’s visit to Russia on October this year.
The sides stressed the importance of close interdepartmental coordination and practical cooperation in order to maintain the momentum of growth in trade turnover and promote promising cooperation projects, including at the regional level of the two states.
The sides also exchanged views on the regional agenda.
