Within the framework of Tashkent investment forum program, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received chairman of the board of directors of “Euronews” Pedro Vargas.
Issues of developing cooperation with this leading company, including in the sphere of increasing awareness of the large “Euronews” audience about cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, current important political and economic processes in the country, as well as the investment and touristic potential, were considered.
The Head of our state appreciated the active work on implementing joint information projects and preparing professional staff, as well as plans of “Euronews” to open its office in the city of Tashkent.
Plans were supported on educating Uzbek journalists in line with advanced professional standards based on “Euronews Academy” program.
An agreement was reached to prepare a joint “roadmap” in order to organize a systemic work in all prospective areas.
