President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Khushnud mahalla of Yangikhayot district, observed the life of the population and the changes taking place.

The mahalla is new – it was established in 2021. More than 11 thousand people live in 48 apartment houses and 625 households. There is a kindergarten, sports school, family polyclinic, private clinic, production enterprises, stores and consumer services. This year, 49 micro-projects provided employment for 116 citizens.

Previously, these places were outskirts, unattractive. Since 2018, modern houses, children’s playgrounds and sports grounds have been built. The adjacent territory is landscaped.

This year, a three-story building of the mahalla was built. On the first floor there are offices of the chairman and employees of the mahalla, a library, a corner of jadids. On the upper floors there is a training center for exact sciences and foreign languages, a fitness hall. A mono-center for vocational guidance of young people has been organized.

The Head of State got acquainted with the created conditions. He talked to the mahalla activists and aksakals. They said that Yangikhayot district has changed rapidly in recent years, new transportation facilities and enterprises have been developed, and all spheres have been revitalized.

– The purpose of our visit today is to see the results of our decisions, the life of people. As in this district, we strive to develop each region, create comfort for people and increase the number of jobs. At the same time, we pay great attention to education and upbringing, culture. If knowledge and spirituality are strong, the economy will develop, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The President also reviewed the activities of a private kindergarten for 150 places in the mahalla, where modern conditions have been created. It is located on the first and second floors of a 16-storey building commissioned this year. When equipping the premises of the institution, special attention was paid to the harmonious combination of modernity and national traditions.

There are many women with small children in the mahalla. For them, jobs are being created in nearby areas in areas such as sewing and confectionery production. This kindergarten has eased their concerns a lot. They will be able to work in peace and generate additional income for their families.
