During his trip to Bukhara region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation of projects that Vietnam’s ROX Group plans to implement in Uzbekistan.

Company representatives presented four urban development projects: two in Bukhara, one in Tashkent’s Uchtepa district, and one in Samarkand. The projects cover a total area of 285 hectares and involve $4.5 billion in investment. They are designed to accommodate 115,000 residents.

Construction of new residential areas has begun on 65 hectares in Bukhara district and 25 hectares in the city of Bukhara. The developments will include multi-story residential buildings for 30,000 people, hotels, business centers, retail facilities, and service and leisure facilities.

The project in Uchtepa district is aimed at creating a modern urban environment, while the project in Samarkand will develop infrastructure around the existing tourist complex. The Vietnamese investor has also proposed establishing an industrial zone in Zaamin district of Jizzakh region.

The President approved the proposed concepts and emphasized the need to apply advanced urban planning solutions. Officials were instructed to work with the company to develop the necessary infrastructure and implementation mechanisms for the projects.
