On February 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed presentations by the winners of the “Best Digital Technology Startup” project – the “President Tech Award” – as part of a dialogue with young people at the Kuksaroy residence.
The “Best Digital Technology Startup” competition has been held by the Directorate of the Technological Park of Software Products and Information Technologies with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies since 2023. The total prize fund is $1 million.
The competition selects the most outstanding projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, social technologies, MicroSaaS and AdTech, financial technologies and entrepreneurship, and gaming software, as well as in a special category – hackathon.
While more than 4,000 participants took part in the first competition, their number had increased to 6,000 by 2025. The number of teams rose from 444 to 862.
The winners presented their startup projects to the Head of state, highlighting their advantages and practical applications.
“We are ready to create the necessary conditions for small startups to grow into large projects and profitable businesses. To achieve this, it is essential to establish dialogue with each startup founder and provide the necessary support,” said the President.
It was emphasized that supporting the interests of young people lays the foundation for the professions of the future, and that foreign countries are showing particular interest in the startup projects developed by Uzbekistan’s youth.
Noting that funding for startup support will be increased, the President gave recommendations on the spheres and areas that require the fresh perspectives and new ideas of young people.
