President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of a multidisciplinary cardiological center in the city of Shakhrisabz.
The strengthening of population’s health is one of the key directions of to social policy of Uzbekistan. Reforms are consistently implemented in this field: state healthcare facilities are being modernized, investments are being attracted, private sector is actively developing. Currently only in Kashkadarya region there are over 700 private clinics functioning providing 72 types of medical services.
One of the new objects in the sphere is “Ok saroy” clinic, recently opened in partnership with a Russian investor. Here four operating rooms, six resuscitation rooms and over 100 bed are equipped. Up to four cardio-surgical operations can be organized in parallel here, during the day – up to 25. For this experienced specialists from Russia, Türkiye and Kuwait have been attracted. Here complex procedures are operated, including stenting, aortocoronary bypass, repair of congenital malformations, endoprosthetics.
The center also provides services of accurate diagnosis. For instance, a modern echocardiogram works with the application of artificial intelligence – the first such equipment in the country at the moment.
The President outlined that such innovation clinics not only change the treatment standards but also the general understanding of the quality of medical care, encouraging other such facilities for transformation.
– We should take this practice as a basis and create similar clinics in a minimum of 14 regions. It doesn’t matter how much funds are required – we will find them. What is important is that a guaranteed and accessible assistance for the people is behind it. Without the alternative and competition, there will be no strive for quality, – underscored Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Head of State instructed responsible persons to prepare proposals on scaling this model, connecting the activities of such clinics with the system of primary healthcare and medical insurance.
130 jobs have been created in the clinic. A clinical residency has also been organized here, which will make it possible to train qualified specialists.
The President paid special attention to the issues of advanced training of students and doctors, as well as the development of telemedicine in cooperation with foreign experts.
It should be noted that Kashkadarya region has a high rate of cardiovascular diseases, largely due to nutritional disorders. The new cardiology center and the diagnostic unit attached to it are of great importance for early detection and effective treatment of such diseases.
In addition, the institution has mobile diagnostic complexes that travel to remote areas and provide ultrasound, CT, ECG and other types of medical care on site.
