On June 19 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Kashkadarya region.
The ongoing economic reforms in Uzbekistan bring noticeable results in various spheres and sectors. A technological breakthrough is seen in the whole country: in the first 5 months of the current year the growth of industrial production reached 6.4 percent, and the volume of export in this sphere exceeded $6 billion.
A significant contribution to these indicators is brought by Kashkadarya’s industry, including the “Alp texno servis” enterprise-exporter located in the city of Karshi. This project worth $10 million entered the global supply chain in the sphere of electronics. The enterprise manufactures products based on the order of foreign brands “TCL” and “Hofmann”, and launched its own line under “Smart” brand.
Annually up to 500 thousand TV’s and electronic plates are manufactured under these brands. The products are characterized by a high technological level, compliance with quality requirements and modern design. In this regard, 70 percent of the output is export-oriented. Last year the volume of supplies abroad exceeded $2 million, and the goal for this year is to reach $10 million.
The Head of State emphasized the need for further development of this direction.
– We have already gained experience, found access to foreign markets. Now we need to expand this enterprise. There will always be demand for such products. But we need to grow in quality and assortment to remain competitive, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Localization remains one of the priorities. Today its level at the enterprise exceeds 50 percent. In the future it is planned to implement four more projects worth $20 million, within which the production of vacuum cleaners, electric kettles, air conditioners and fans will be established. This will create the potential for exports worth up to $30 million a year.
The enterprise employs 200 people. In cooperation with the Karshi State Technical University, a dual education system has been introduced.
