Following the first meeting of the High-level Inter-state Council, a ceremony was held to sign bilateral documents.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Joint Statement, as well as decisions of the High Inter-state Council on the approval of the Program of Strategic Partnership and Alliance for 2024-2034 years and establishment of the Council of Foreign Ministers.
As part of the visit, a package of documents covering a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues was adopted, in particular:
– Intergovernmental agreement on the regime of the state border;
– Protocols for the amendment of intergovernmental agreements on crossing points of state borders and international road traffic;
– Intergovernmental plan of activities for cultural and humanitarian cooperation for 2024-2025;
– Agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture;
– Agreement on cooperation in the field of health;
– Protocol on cooperation between the Ministries of economy;
– Protocols on cooperation in the field of regulation of natural monopolies and competition policy;
– Memorandum on the establishment of the Uzbek-Kazakh Expert Council;
– Agreement on the Mutual understanding between the Committee for Inter-national Relations and Friendly Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Otandastar Foundation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
– Plan of practical actions for the expansion of cooperation between the Khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent and the Akimat of the city of Astana in the trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres for 2024-2026.
