President briefed on digitalization efforts in Sergeli district

04 Jul 2026

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Sergeli district administration.

The Head of State was first presented with the work of district departments operating under a “single-window” principle within the administration building. In addition to the district administration, the building houses five other organizations that provide more than 30 types of public services to residents and businesses.

In particular, a device for submitting online appeals to the Ministry of Internal Affairs provides greater convenience for citizens. When an appeal is submitted through the system, the duty inspector connects with the applicant via video call. The appeal is registered automatically, and once it has been reviewed, the applicant can evaluate the outcome, the inspector’s actions, and the quality of communication.

The Head of State instructed officials to expand the installation of such smart devices in crowded public places, markets, and other facilities.

A situation center has also been established within the district administration. The “Smart District” platform has been launched, enabling AI-powered data analysis and the prompt identification and resolution of emerging issues. The integration of 17 information systems into the situation center has elevated public service management to a new level.

The center monitors social and public utility issues, oversees the handling of citizens’ appeals, and ensures the operational management and coordination of relevant services during emergencies.

As part of the launch of the situation center, a video conferencing system linking the district’s 46 mahallas has been established and integrated into the center. The district’s 25 schools are also being gradually connected to the system.

The “Safe District” system, which forms part of the platform, is designed to monitor offenses and enhance public safety.

The digital map of business entities is used to forecast tax revenues and improve the efficiency of tax collection through AI-powered analytics. The “AI Davomat” system also plays an important role in identifying unexcused school absences and preventing neglect among minors.

The President reviewed the work of the situation center and instructed officials to implement the system across all other districts of the capital. He also heard reports from responsible officials on the digitalization of the education and construction sectors, measures to reduce the shadow economy and improve tax collection, as well as efforts to ensuring public safety in the city of Tashkent.
