Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia Discuss Topical Issues of Bilateral Agenda

On February 16, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The Presidents discussed current issues of further development of multifaceted cooperation and strengthening relations of comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia.

The Leaders paid a particular attention to increasing mutual trade, expanding industrial cooperation among leading companies, and implementing investment projects in priority sectors as part of a joint Project Office.

Within this context, the importance of holding the international exhibition «Innoprom. Central Asia» and the Uzbek-Russian Forum of Regions was underscored.

The Presidents have also exchanged views on intensifying cultural and humanitarian exchange, as well as discussed the agenda of upcoming events.
