On February 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President Emomali Rakhmon.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan expressed deep condolences to the leader of Tajikistan for the loss of human lives and the serious destruction caused by the avalanches in the south-east of the country.
The topical issues on the bilateral and regional agenda were considered.
The Leaders discussed the measures to implement the agreements at the highest level, especially in the field of trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, energy, transport and other areas.
The importance of effective interaction in the prevention and management of emergencies was noted.
The schedule of activities, including contacts within multilateral organizations, was also reviewed.
