Today, on June 8, an official welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on an official visit to the Italian Republic, took place at the Quirinale Palace, the residence of the President of the Italian Republic in Rome.
A guard of honor and a detachment of mounted cuirassiers lined up in the square in honor of the high-ranking guest. The flags of Italy, Uzbekistan and the European Union were hoisted on the tower of the Quirinale Palace.
Uzbek President was met by Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
A military orchestra sang the national anthems of the two countries.

The Presidents walked around the guard of honor and welcomed the members of official delegations.
