On September 14-15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, will visit Dushanbe to take part in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States and the Summit of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
The agenda of the Fifth Session of the Heads of the Central Asian States includes issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation in the region, including the development of political dialogue, promotion of joint programs and projects in the fields of trade, investment, transport, energy, agriculture, and ecology, activation of cultural and humanitarian exchange, as well as response to modern challenges and threats to security.
The anniversary meeting of the leaders of founding states of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, taking place in the year of 30th anniversary since the establishment of the organization, will consider topical aspects of regional partnership in the fields of management and rational use of water resources, as well as further improvement of the Fund’s activities.
Following the events, a number of multilateral documents are planned to be adopted.
