At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay a working visit to the city of Almaty on March 29 to hold an informal high-level meeting.
With the participation of delegations from both countries, issues of consistently deepening Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance, as well as current aspects of the international and regional agenda, will be discussed.
The focus will be on expanding practical cooperation in the areas of trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture and water management, as well as continuing active interregional contacts and cultural-humanitarian exchange.
It is worth noting that at the beginning of April last year, a similar bilateral meeting between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took place in the city of Khiva.
