The Head of State viewed the presentation of new projects planned to be implemented in the Zaamin Technopark.
The technopark is being built on an area of 400 hectares. Work has already started on 9 investment projects at the first stage. Within the framework of the second stage 5 more promising projects have been developed.
In particular, it is planned to organize joint production of medical and security equipment with Longze Investment Group, as well as production of notebooks, tablets, servers and routers with Foxit. In addition, projects are envisaged for the production of leather and sports shoes, construction materials, porcelain tableware and chemical products.
The total value of these initiatives is about $250 million. All projects will produce high value-added products, with about 70 percent of the goods to be supplied to foreign markets.
The volume of foreign investments attracted to Jizzakh region is growing annually. If in 2018, only $18 million of foreign investment was utilized in the region, then at the end of last year this figure exceeded $1 billion. Over the past eight years, $3.7 billion was invested in the region, more than 4 thousand industrial enterprises were put into operation, and the number of enterprises with the participation of foreign capital exceeded 260.
