Shavkat Mirziyoyev Congratulates the People of Uzbekistan on Navruz Holiday

On March 21, the celebrations on the Navruz holiday were held in the Humo Arena Complex in Tashkent.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the event and congratulated people of the country on the holiday.

The processes of awakening and renewal of nature on the days of Navruz can be called a reflection of the transformations in our country. Over the recent five years, according to the Action Strategy, major reforms have taken place in all areas, the image of the regions has changed.

With a view of continuoing this work, the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan and the State Program «Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Development of a Makhalla» have been adopted.

«Our people are embarking upon a new stage of national development with the noble goals and great practical accomplishments», said the President.

A vivid confirmation of this today can be seen in the example of every family, makhalla, village, aul and city. The hundreds of modern enterprises, roads and communication networks, comfortable housing, kindergartens, schools and universities, healthcare, cultural and sports institutions are being built in the country. The residential areas and gardens, parks of culture and recreation, which are given the name «A New Uzbekistan», are being established in all regions.

Alongside with the programs «A Prosperous Makhalla» and «A Prosperous Village», the nationwide project «A Green Country» is being implemented. In these beautiful days, our people are drawing strength, energy and inspiration from the Navruz traditions, hold khashars, plant trees and flowers. The entire Uzbekistan is permeated with the spirit of creativity and celebration.

In his congratulatory message the President has dwelled on the essence and significance of Navruz, the value of peace and tranquility reigning in the country.

«Navruz teaches us to cherish our native land, take care of each sprout, feeling as a part of nature, as well as calls for humanism and generosity. At this remarkable time, we are especially deeply aware of the invaluable wealth of peace and tranquillity, their great importance. We are even more aware of our responsibility to ensure the well-being of our people in today’s turbulent and troubled times, for the future of our children and grandchildren, and for a clear sky above our Motherland», said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The President has cordially congratulated the representatives of the diplomatic corps and compatriots abroad who participated at the festive event.

On the occasion of the Makhalla Workers’ Day on March 22, the congratulations were addressed to the activists of the sphere, aksakals, khokims’ assistants and youth leaders.

The event has continued with a colorful festive program.

Then President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in folk festivals, watched the performances of national cultural centers, folklore and ethnographic groups.

Navruz is a favorite holiday of representatives of all nations and nationalities. The festivities became a reflection of their unity and harmony, interethnic friendship in our country.

The President has talked with the people who came here and congratulated them on the holiday.
