On February 4, 2021, the President of Uzbekistan signed a Decree “On measures for the creation of the Yangikhayot Industrial Technopark in the city of Tashkent”.
During his visit to Yangikhayot District today, the President visited the planned construction site of the Technopark.
210 hectares of land were allocated for the complex. 150 hectares of the allocated land will be auctioned in two stages. The entrepreneurs who have purchased the land will build the enterprises on their own.
“The land resources in Tashkent are limited, and there will be no such areas in the future. Therefore, the efficient use of every inch of land is vital. It is expedient to build two-storey enterprises,” said the President.
20,000 jobs are planned to be created at the enterprises located in the Technopark. In general, the industrial zone will assist to expand production capacity, introduce modern technologies in industry and thereby provide employment for the population.
A presentation of the enterprises’ products at the Yangikhayot District was also held.
