Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Presidents Discuss Enhancing Multifaceted Relations

On July 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Leader of Kazakhstan has cordially congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him a sound health, prosperity and great success.

The issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, enhancing the multifaceted collaboration between the two countries were considered.

The importance of accelerating the cooperation projects in trade and logistics, industry and the agro-industrial complex was emphasized. An agreement was reached to continue a close cooperation at the level of the governments of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

There was an exchange of views on the current regional agenda. The productive outcomes of the regular Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States, held this week in Kyrgyzstan, were highly appreciated.

A special attention was paid to the issues of early preparation and the start of practical implementation of major infrastructure projects in the region.
