President of Russia Arrives in Uzbekistan

On September 15, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in Uzbekistan.

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met the distinguished guest at the Samarkand International Airport.

On the first day of the visit, the top-level talks will be held on the topical issues of further development and consolidation of the multifaceted Uzbek-Russian cooperation.

As a result of the talks, it is envisaged to sign a bilateral document aimed at establishing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia to a qualitatively new level.

On September 16, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin will take part in a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
