On February 13, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Sándor Csányi, the Chairman of the BoD of the largest Hungarian bank “OTP”. During the meeting, the positive dynamics of cooperation in the banking and financial sector, including within the framework of the implemented transaction on the sale of the state share in Ipoteka-bank to the OTP Group, was noted with satisfaction. The Head of our State emphasized the importance of improving the quality of bank services through their digitalization, introducing innovative and affordable financial products for small and family businesses, and training staff in the best European practices. The issues of further deepening of cooperation with leading Hungarian enterprises in agriculture, winemaking, irrigation, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries, including based on the special economic zone created for Hungarian companies in Tashkent region, were considered. In turn, Sándor Csányi confirmed the intention of the Hungarian business to actively expand its presence in the market of our country. Following the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of OTP Bank expressed his deep gratitude to the Uzbek leader for the high appreciation of his activity and the state award – the Order of «Dustlik».
