At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on November 9-11.
According to the programme, summit talks will be held.
The agenda includes issues of further development of Uzbek-Italian relations of strategic partnership and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas.
A particular attention will be paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Italy in June this year.
There will be an exchange of views on topical issues of international politics and regional interaction.
A number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents are expected to be signed at the end of the Summit.
President Sergio Mattarella will also travel to Samarkand and Khiva, where he will familiarise himself with Uzbekistan’s cultural and historical heritage.
