During a telephone conversation on December 11 President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin discussed relevant issues of further developing and strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
Matters of practical implementation of agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Russia to Uzbekistan in May this year in line with the roadmap adopted by the leaders were reviewed in detail.
The fruitful results of another joint Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and bilateral negotiations held recently were highly appreciated.
Significance was stressed on adopting coordinated measures aimed at ensuring growth of mutual trade turnover indicators, expediting cooperation projects in industry, energy, transport, agriculture and other sectors, continuing active contacts on the level of regions and business organizations of Uzbekistan and Russia.
Expansion of cooperation in innovation, artificial intelligence, education and healthcare was noted with satisfaction. Events in the framework of Uzbek culture days in Russia were successfuly held in November.
An exchange of opinions related to international agenda and multifaceted cooperation in regional organizations in the context of preparing for future high-level meetings in the end of December this year also took place.
