On June 2, on the invitation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Uzbekistan with an official visit.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met him at the international airport in Tashkent. The Leaders have had a short talk.
Afterwards, the Tajik leader arrived in the «Yangi Uzbekiston» Park and laid flowers at the Monument of Independence. He has toured the complex and familiarized himself in detail with the content and architectural features of this ensemble.
It should be noted that the ceremony of laying flowers at this monument has become a traditional destination for high-ranking guests.
