On October 27, the President of the European Council Charles Michel arrived in our country.
In the morning of October 28, the distinguished guest visited the «Yangi Uzbekistan» (‘A New Uzbekistan’) Park and laid flowers at the Independence Monument.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Charles Michel at the Kuksaroy Residence. A joint photo session was held.
Thereupon, the top-level talks began.
At the meeting in a narrow format, the topical issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation were considered, followed by an exchange of views on the international and regional agenda.
An agreement was reached to continue the close joint work to strengthen practical cooperation aimed at promoting the implementation of our country’s program of democratic transformations and economic reforms, particularly in the areas of innovation, green economy, and digitalization.
In addition, the issue to develop a «road map» for the implementation of proposals and initiatives advanced by Uzbekistan during the summit in the «Central Asia – EU» format was agreed upon.
