On July 28, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Interior Minister of the Republic of Turkey Süleyman Soylu, who is in our country on a working visit.
The sides discussed the issues of the development of practical cooperation in law enforcement and public security in the context of the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Süleyman Soylu conveyed warm greetings and good wishes of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the President of Uzbekistan.
The sides emphasized the readiness of the Turkish side to establish a consistent interagency partnership for effective coordination of efforts and counteracting current challenges and threats to security.
During the conversation, a special attention was paid to the issues of continuing active contacts, exchange of information and studying best practices, carrying out joint activities to combat organized crime, including in cyberspace, terrorism, religious extremism, drug trafficking and illegal migration.
