The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the United Arab Emirates on May 15 to express condolences on the passing of the country’s President, the Emir of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
At the Presidential Complex in Abu Dhabi, the President of Uzbekistan has met with the newly elected President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Leader of Uzbekistan expressed sincere condolences to the President and the friendly people of the Emirates on the untimely death of President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The huge contribution of Sheikh Khalifa to the development and strengthening of friendship and multifaceted cooperation between our countries was underscored.
The President of Uzbekistan has also congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Al Nahyan on his election to the highest state post in the country, sincerely wishing him a great success in his future endeavors.
The Leaders considered the topical issues of expanding the Uzbek-Emirati practical cooperation.
The President of Uzbekistan has also met with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
