At the invitation of the Hungarian side, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Hungary on October 3-4.
It should be noted that the upcoming summit is a return visit of our President in accordance with the agreements reached at the meeting of the two countries’ leaders in the city of Tashkent in March last year.
In accordance with the program of stay in the city of Budapest the top level talks will be held with the President of Hungary Katalin Novak and the Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
The agenda of Uzbek-Hungarian summit includes topical issues of enhancing relations of strategic partnership and expanding multifaceted cooperation, primarily in trade and economic, investment, agricultural, financial, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
A particular attention will be paid to the implementation of joint projects and programs aimed at increasing the trade turnover, deepening industrial cooperation in pharmaceuticals, agro-industrial complex, machine-building, water conservation and other spheres.
An exchange of views on international and regional politics, including cooperation as part of the Organization of Turkic States, will also take place.
Following the talks, it is planned to sign a joint declaration and a solid package of bilateral agreements.
Furthermore, the President will hold a meeting with the heads of Hungary’s leading companies and banks.
