Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Hold a Telephone Conversation

On May 9, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Presidents warmly congratulated each other, the fraternal people and veterans of the two countries on the Victory Day in the World War II, as well as exchanged sincere wishes for a sound health, happiness and well-being, peace and prosperity.

The topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership were considered. The progressive growth of indicators of mutual trade and investment, intensive contacts at the level of parliaments, governments and regions were noted with satisfaction.

A main attention was paid to promoting the implementation of joint projects and programs in the trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, infrastructure and other priority areas.

The Presidents exchanged the views on the topical issues on the regional agenda, as well as have considered the schedule of the bilateral and multilateral events at the highest level.
