On December 19, Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will pay a working visit to the city of Tashkent at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to attend the International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award ceremony.
The award, initiated by the Amir of Qatar, has been presented annually since 2016 to prominent public figures, experts and journalists in recognition of their efforts to fight against corruption at the global level.
The programme of the visit also includes high-level meetings.
The sides will discuss issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Qatar on October 1 and 2 this year, mainly in the political, trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian fields. There will also be an exchange of views on the international and regional agenda.
