President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Ugam River” tourist complex currently under construction in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.
Previously, the area along the Ugam river was rocky terrain and not fully utilized. Within the framework of the project worth more than 1 trillion soums, construction work has begun on an area of about 14 hectares. Currently, 17 apartment buildings of 5, 6 and 7 stories high are being built, which will accommodate 870 apartments.
It is also planned to build 16 cottages, 3 restaurants, more than 20 points of trade and service on the territory of the complex. Children’s playgrounds, indoor swimming pool, fitness and sports grounds, amphitheater, parking lot, walking paths in the mountains and along the coast will be arranged.
As a result, the new complex will be able to receive up to 200 thousand visitors annually, which will considerably increase the tourist potential of the region.
At the first stage, all the apartment buildings envisaged by the project are scheduled for commissioning early next year.

Tourists are attracted by the beautiful nature and clean air. In view of this, an additional 20 thousand trees will be planted on the territory of the existing forest area. Using modern technologies, 1 thousand cubic meters of river water will be processed daily. A heating and cooling system with a capacity of 2 megawatts will also be put into operation.
The President has instructed the responsible persons in the industry to promote this resort and further involve tourists.
Through tourism projects, more jobs will be created. It was noted that along with the development of this area, it is necessary to protect the traditional crafts of the population. Thus, beekeeping and lemon farming are well developed in the district. Their development is important for the local ecosystem.
