During his visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev walked along a renovated street in Nukus.
The improvement of Garezsizlik, S. Kamalov, and G. Sheraziyeva streets has created a comfortable environment for residents and visitors, while enabling commercial and entertainment facilities to operate around the clock.
A total of 2.2 billion soums was allocated for the improvement works. A 2.5-kilometer section of the streets was renovated and the surrounding infrastructure upgraded.
Pedestrian walkways were built, and benches and waste bins were installed. Energy-efficient streetlights powered by solar panels were installed to illuminate the area at night. A new 1.5-kilometer drainage network was constructed and existing systems were modernized to drain rainwater and prevent water accumulation.
The improvements have also created new opportunities for local businesses. Eight new businesses have begun operations in the area, while 10 existing businesses have expanded their activities. As a result, 75 new jobs have been created.
While walking along the street, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke warmly with residents, emphasizing the immense value of peace in the country and expressing his best wishes to them.
