The Head of State got acquainted with the presentation of project implemented in New Tashkent.
The construction of this city began in 2023, today the first buildings have been developed. To implement the major plans 19,7 thousand hectares of land have been allocated in Yukorichirchik and Urtachirchik districts. The project concept has been developed by a British company Cross Works.
At the first stage the construction began on the territory on 6 thousand hectares, where modern conditions will be created for the living of 600 thousand people. In perspective the city will accommodate 2 million residents. These numbers clearly demonstrate the scale of the project. This is why special attention is paid to the quality and durability of infrastructure. Currently underground engineering communications: collectors through which heat and water, electricity and telecommunications, are being built. Additionally tunnels and underground parking is being developed for comfortable transport movement.
Each project is aimed at modern and ecological solutions. Ecologically clean transport will be implemented in the city, communication between metro and electrobuses will be established. Comfortable and safe conditions are being created for the pedestrians and cyclists.
The construction of over 60 buildings for government bodies is planned in the administrative zone. Today over 10 ministries and agencies have started work in the temporary objects on the territory of New Tashkent.
The President was also presented with short-term plans. Many domestic and foreign investors express interest to the project. As a result of auctions investment agreements worth $554 million on 13 commercial lots have been concluded. Hotels, restaurants and buildings with original architecture will appear here, which will ensure both high-quality service and transform the city into a new tourism center.
The construction will allow to employ 160 thousand people, in the future hundreds of thousand permanent jobs will be created based on innovation technologies. For this purpose it’s planned to develop education and medical clusters, IT services and technoparks.
The Head of State gave recommendations on investment attraction, as well as creation of comfortable leisure zones and services.
