On June 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
At the outset of the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his deepest condolences and words of support to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan regarding human casualties as a result of forest fire in the territory of the Abay Region. The readiness to provide all necessary assistance to fight the natural disaster and eliminate its consequences was noted.
Besides, the Presidents of the two countries discussed topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.
A particular attention is paid to boosting practical implementation of project cooperation in trade, industry, energy, transport, agriculture and other economic sectors.
An exchange of views on the regional agenda took place.
