On March 1-2, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The program of stay in Baku involves the participation of our President in the plenary session of the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The agenda of the event, which is to be chaired by the Azerbaijani side, includes topical issues of developing multilateral dialogue and expanding practical cooperation under the conditions of continuing pandemic consequences, as well as increasing challenges and threats to the international security and stability.
Besides, it is planned to hold a bilateral meeting of the President of Uzbekistan with the President of Azerbaijan to discuss the practical implementation of previously reached agreements.
It should be noted that the Non-Aligned Movement is one of the largest international organizations that unites 120 member states and has proclaimed non-participation in military-political blocs and organizations as the basis of its foreign policy, as well as the development of cooperation based on the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations.
