At the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Dubai from November 30 to December 2 to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
The Heads of the States and governments from more than 150 countries, as well as leaders of prominent international organizations and financial institutions, will participate in the work of the global climate summit.
The agenda of the event includes the issues of implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the fight against modern ecological challenges and threats, as well as the expansion of international partnerships in promoting the goals and tasks of “green” development.
It is expected that the Head of our State will deliver a speech at the plenary session of the Summit and will also hold several bilateral meetings and negotiations.
It is worth mentioning that the Republic of Uzbekistan joined the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 1993. In 2018, our country became a member of the Paris Agreement.
