On June 7-9, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay an official visit to Italy at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella.
The high-level meetings will take place in Rome. The Head of our state will hold talks with President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Topical issues of further developing Uzbek-Italian multifaceted relations and practical cooperation in priority areas will be considered. An exchange of views on the international agenda will also take place.
The Uzbek Leader will also meet with the Director-General of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Qu Dongyu, whose headquarters is based in the capital of Italy. The important aspects of cooperation in ensuring food security are expected to be discussed.
The business part of the visit will take place in the city of Milan. The President of Uzbekistan will receive the Governor of Lombardy region and hold a round table with the heads of leading Italian companies and organizations.
