On August 17, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, who is on an official visit to our country.
The issues of further strengthening of the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance, and filling them with new practical content were considered.
At the beginning of the conversation, Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek Leader satisfactorily noted the high level of bilateral cooperation achieved in recent years, including fruitful contacts at the level of parliaments, governments, regional administrations, the public and business circles.
The Joint Intergovernmental Commission and the Working Group are operating effectively. The volume of trade and cooperation among the leading enterprises of our countries is growing steadily. Cultural and humanitarian events are held on regular basis.
During the meeting, a particular attention was paid to further intensification of political contacts, the adoption of measures to accelerate projects in strategic sectors of the economy, the expansion of humanitarian exchange programs, and strengthening of good neighborliness and partnership in the Central Asian Region.
