Uzbek President Visits St. Petersburg Monuments

On December 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the palace and park complexes of St. Petersburg as part of the cultural programme of the informal CIS summit.

The President of our country together with the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan visited the museum reserves of Pavlovsk, Tsarskoe Selo and Peterhof.

All three historical monuments, dating from the XVIII-XIX centuries, are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and are recognized as masterpieces of architecture and landscape gardening.

During the excursions, the Presidents were informed about the history of the palaces, their decoration and art collections. Musical and folklore performances were presented to the distinguished guests.
