The events programme of the working visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Baku have concluded.
Today, November 24, the Head of State attended the First Summit of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia and outlined practical initiatives to further strengthen regional cooperation within SPECA.
Furthermore, bilateral negotiations were held between the President of Azerbaijan Ilhom Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The leaders discussed issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship and strategic partnership, including implementation of summit-level agreements.
Following the visit, Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and other officials saw off the Uzbek President at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The Head of State left for Tashkent.
